What is Concerned Black Men, Inc.?
Concerned Black Men, Inc.® (CBM) is an organization of male volunteers that provide positive male role models with an Afro-centric perspective to the children in the Washington , DC Metropolitan Area. We seek to provide our youth with wisdom and understanding on how to become positive, successful and contributing adults. We work to enrich youth lives through positive educational, cultural, and social activities and programs. We adhere to the motto "Caring For Our Youth."
Founded in 1982, the Washington, DC Chapter of Concerned Black Men, Inc.® (CBM-DC), is a non-profit organization that sponsors a variety of programs and activities which promote the educational, cultural, and social development of youth.
CBM-DC has worked closely with area school systems, community organizations, and local social service agencies that share a commitment to a prosperous future for upcoming generations. CBM is a National Organization with chapters in various US cities.
