What is Concerned Black Men, Inc.?
 Concerned Black Men, Inc.® (CBM) is an organization of Black Male Volunteers that provide positive, male role models, and valid definitions of masculinity to the children in the Washington, DC Metropolitan Area.  We seek to build stronger channels of communication between adults and children. We adhere to the motto "Caring For Our Youth."

Founded in 1982, the Washington, DC Chapter of Concerned Black Men, Inc.® (CBM-DC), is a non-profit organization that sponsors a variety of programs and activities which promote the educational, cultural, and social development of youth.

Since its inception, CBM-DC has worked closely with area school systems, community organizations, and local social service agencies that share a commitment to a prosperous future for upcoming generations.  CBM is a National Organization with chapters in 30 US cities and a chapter in Pretoria, South Africa.



Please look at our website and share our experiences with the youth.  If there are any other questions you have about the organization please join us at our general body meeting.  It's held every 2nd Tuesday at the THURGOOD MARSHALL CENTER – FIRST FLOOR 1816 12th Street NW, Washington, DC 20009 6:30PM You can get a good understanding of our activities and functions.  Your attendance would be sincerely appreciated.
